Fiance buys a house

The article written by Victor Flowers

My fiancé just bought the most wonderful house I have ever seen. I am such a lucky girl to have him and can’t wait to marry him. He wanted to make sure he had a house for us and that everything was ready for when we got married. He is doing a wonderful job. We will be married in a couple months and everything is almost done with the house. He had all the walls painted the way I wanted them. He had all the utilities hooked up and even got a great deal on TVByDirect. I think that was more for him, but he is at least making a great effort on everything. Last weekend we picked out the couches for the living room and I love them. They were a little more expensive than I wanted to spend on couches, but I think they will be well worth it. Some of the cheaper couches didn’t seem like they would last very long. These are of great quality and should last us for years. I can’t wait to live in our wonderful home with my wonderful husband-to-be.

Successful Holidays!

I made this delicious dinner for Christmas and according to my husband, it was his favorite steak ever. I cook the steak in the barbecue grill and I am so proud of myself to see my food, it's perfectly cooked and soft. The hungry tummy was full!

An organized garage means an organized home

Guest post written by Nick Horton

I guess there's the saying that the hearth is the heart of the home. Well, as far as I'm concerned, the garage is the heart of my home. I use it a lot for a variety of things and store my favorite toys there, like my lawnmower and power tools. But my wife has been asking me for a while now to organize it. So I'm actually going to do that next weekend now that I have a free Saturday.

I looked online for a little bit to get some ideas about what I could do to keep the garage organized, I saw some stuff about Sears Home Services. I showed it to my wife and we decided to use them to replace our countertops in our kitchen. That's going to be our Christmas present to ourselves, so it was nice to just happen upon that information.

We got the whole family involved in the stuff and I think that we found all kinds of tools and toys that we havent' used in years. We got rid of those, which really freed up a lot of storage space for the stuff that we kept.

HOA Woes

Thanks for the guest post by Jo Levy

Living in a neighborhood has its ups and downs. It is so exciting to have your own place and do your own thing, but then you realize there is a Home Owners’ Association. Before moving into my neighborhood, I had heard about Home Owners’ Associations, but never experienced it for myself. Well, my neighbor happens to be the president of the HOA. I am sure you are thinking what I was: who cares? Well, president of the HOA is like being the head of the bullies. You get to do whatever you want to do and you tell everyone else they can’t do what they want to do. We wanted to build a fence and were told no. We wanted to put a satellite dish on the roof for direc tv and we were told no. We wanted to sneeze outside and we were told no. Alright, that one I made up, but you get the point. The worst part about living next to the president is how annoyed you get at everything he does. Why can he build a fence? Why can he park on the street? I swear my blood starts to boil every time I see him, but I just grin and bear it. Elections are coming up next month. Yes, there are actually elections for such positions. I have decided to run against my neighbor and I think there are many fights to come. Wish me luck!

DUH!

Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder

I always have been called forgetful, but there are only so many things I forget. If it’s important, I don’t usually neglect to write it down or ask someone more responsible than me to remind me when they get a chance. When I moved last week I couldn’t believe it but I had forgotten to call about all my utilities! I couldn’t figure out at first why my lights wouldn’t come on and the toilets wouldn’t flush, but then it hit me: I just never called. It took almost the whole week to get everything in order between the sewer and the cable company and HOME-ALARM-SYSTEMS.com but now I’ve got it all squared away and I’m settling into home. Next time I move I’m definitely going to make a checklist and I suggest all you readers out there do the same in case you’re like me and might forget something really, really important! Don’t leave the movers stranded outside without anyplace to use the restroom!

The Apprentice

Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder

The Apprentice is a show that has been running for about four or five years now. The star is the well-know Billionaire, Donald Trump; followed by several would-be apprentices. The show has celebrities, individuals who lost everything due to economic down turns, and professionals all hoping to work for Mr. Trump.

This solid hour of nail-biting excitement airs each week and is one I never miss. I watch it on satellite T.V from www.DirectStarTV.com in anxious anticipation to see who will be fired and who will go on to the next round. Each week, the potential apprentices are given tasks they must complete; some mundane and others very extravagant. There is normally one project manager and two separate teams. And toward the end of each show the apprentices are judged on their performance by Donald Trump and whoever he feels does not “measure up” is fired.

The show is set in New York, but on many occasions is filmed in other locations based on the task the apprentices are given to complete. Most of these individuals have very strong personalities and some of them should not be part of this show at all. Even though this show has already ran for several seasons, critics expect to see in on again in the fall. The show will, no doubt, continue to be loved by viewers around the world.

Wholesalers

My friend Lea who is working on her online business was asking help from me if I knew a place where she can find wholesalers. She’s currently working on selling hand made and ready made children clothing but she wanted to buy a wholesale products to save money. Her business is growing rapidly because most of her item is very affordable; she wanted it to be that way to invite more customers to her website.

I already gave her the website where she can find dependable wholesale suppliers and I cannot wait for her to start selling more children clothing. She is very talented; she makes nice, fancy handmade clothing. You could hardly tell it was handmade. I bought a pair of stretchy pants from her and my son loves it! I wish, I have a talent like that but no matter how much I tried, it just didn’t work at all.

Anyway, if you heard someone who are looking for wholesale products, tell them to visit any of the attached links here, it’s the right place to find their needs.

Rain!

Its been raining here like crazy! the road is slippery and slashy. I hate it when the weather gets like this. I wish there  is  place I can live temporarily on winter. I do not like being in the snow with a freezing temperature. It times like this, it makes me want to fly back home, I miss the the warm weather and the wearing one layer of clothes. I can go anywhere without keeping myself warm. Oh well, there is nothing I can do, I am already here and I have to learn to like and love this place.

Toys For My Son!

I cannot believe how much money I saved after shopping online last Monday. My son loves all the toys that I got for him especially the robotic RC toys. He does not want to put his new toy away, he even sleep with it at night! He’s begging for an electronics toys for a very long time but we keep telling him to wait until it was on sale. It makes me happy to buy something that my family loves to have. We are not spoiling our son; we just wanted to grant his wish occasionally.

He actually wants to own a bike too but he is not old enough for the bike yet, we probably need one more year before he can have it. I also bought a set of dollhouse to my niece but I am planning to hand it to her on her 2nd birthday. How about you? What did you buy on the big sale day? There are still lots of huge sale coming in, so if you missed the big sale, do not worry, more sales are coming soon!

Outdoor And Garden Products

All the garden tools that I had outside were already kept in our shop including the flowerpots. Some of the flowers, I take them inside the house but some did not survive, we barely get sunshine here in our place on winter but according from my husband, they will grow back when the weather starts to get warmer. I love gardening and I am so happy that Jason built a small green house for me. I harvested lots of tomatoes and other vegetables in my very first gardening. I planned to plants more carrots next year though.

Next year, our plan is to rebuild the patio, make some more space so we can set our new outdoor furniture outside as well as our barbecue tools and hammocks. I love being outside. I miss the time where I can just lay in my hammock and red novels. The fresh air outside, the sounds of the birds are just truly amazing and magnificent. But since it's winter now, I will try all my best to enjoy myself. Maybe a weekend skiing trip to Canada or ice fishing in the lake.

Freezing

It's freezing here! the lake was covered with ice and snow as well as the ground. It's way early to have this freezing temperature. Last year, we do not have snow until the end of december but this time, we have like 5 to 6 inches of snow already! I went to the store yesterday and do not want to go out from the car..it is too cold for me. I like the magical white ground but I do not like the freezing temperature.

Purchase Tickets Here!

My 28th birthday is soon to come but we do not have any plans yet. I am thinking of going somewhere where the whole family can go together and enjoy the fun activities. Husband loves to watch games so maybe we can plan a trip to New Jersey and watch football games. I am checking New Jersey Devils Tickets and New Meadowlands Stadium Tickets and looks like they are on the same price. In addition, the place is quite close to where we are. I hope this plans will go well. I wanted to get out a little bit from being stuck in the house for most of the day.

I remember last year, the Chicago Theatre Tickets that we bought was truly a fun and an enjoyable moment for us. The broker offers us the hottest deals and the price is negotiable. I hope this time; they are going to give us the deal again when the time comes for us to buy the ticket for football game.

Yummy!

We had fun with our thanksgiving dinner, it turn our pretty good even if there are only four of us, I am praying that next year we will be able to celebrate it with my in-laws. They lived 3 days drive away from us and with the freezing temperature and thick snow, it is impossible for them to visit us here. There are still lot's of left over and maybe I can make some soup tomorrow out of that stuff. It is very hard to consume all the food when they are only few people eating it. How's your turkey dinner everyone?

Seek Help Now!

One of my favorite TV shows to watch is Investigation Documentary and last night, they are airing about the woman who has two children that disappeared somewhere in a desert compound and still missing. Her body has not been found but according to the investigation, someone dumped her in a mining shaft but not sure, which one since there are dozens of mining shaft in that area.

The short story that I am talking about is just brief information but the tragic event was all started when she start taking illegal drugs and never get a chance to go to a rehab or get professional help. By the time she was ready to withdraw from illegal drugs; someone took her life for nothing. It is very sad and tragic but a serious warning to everyone. In times like this, never judge the person who are involved with this addiction but instead help them by sending to a rehab center like Orchid Recovery Center charity or Orchid Recovery Center for Women. Their professional staff are dedicated to help someone who are in need of drugs recovery. If you will read their Orchid Recovery Center testimonials, you will know how many people have been successful with their recovery. It is very important to support those individual who are addicted to illegal drugs because many has lost their lives because of this and it is partly our fault if we will not help them, though we knew how badly they needed help. Please read more information from any of the attached link here on how to get help.

Reminiscing The Past

Being engaged to someone is the most wonderful thing that could happen to people who are deeply in love. Your life is full of excitement and meaning. I remember three years ago when my husband propose in unexpected dinner date. I do not have any idea that he is going to propose that night but I am certain that something is going on because he looks nervous and anxious. I cannot explain myself how happy and excited I am, when he asked me to marry him. The diamond engagement rings were sparkly right in front of my eyes but all I can see was the hand of my husband shaking like crazy! Our engagement rings were design by him with our initial name written. I so love the engagement rings design your own because you can have the rings exactly what you are hoping to look like.

Though we are married for almost four years now, I am still wearing our diamond eternity rings as a symbol of our unconditional love. I am honored and thankful to have a husband like mine. He is a total package!

Celebrating Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, I know most of us are busy preparing for this very special dinner but for us here, I am not that busy even if I wanted to. I had surgery 5 days ago and working too hard is not permitted. I wanted to cook something good and special but I am not capable to do anything right now. My sister in-law will be coming over to cook prime rib and mash patato and I think thats all we will be having this coming thanksgiving. If only I am not in this situation right now, I would have make a turkey, beans casserole, sweet potatoes and some basic food for thanksgiving dinner. Anyway, it's only us and my sister in-law so nothing to worry about. I just want to get over with my recovery.

My Sweetest Husband

I've been married for almost four years  with my hubby Jason but until now he is still as sweet as ever. Simple things really make a difference when you are together for several years. I never felt I was just taken for granted since I move here in the States. After all those years he never changed even with his busy schedule at work and the demand for him to travel, he always make sure he calls and give us his warm loving words specially before our son go to bed. It really helped me too to talk to my son while Dad is on the phone before bedtime so he heard his daddy's voice saying goodnight . So even Daddy is away, we still felt together as family even on phone. Not just that, he always take home something like his last business trip to Las Vegas , he brought me some chocolates. I love chocolates and recieving it from him makes it much more special. Even way back in Philippines I always try different varieties of chocolates from dark chocolates, milk chocolates , cream filled, caramel filled, with or without nuts and white chocolates. It may be local or imported chocolates at no particular brand, they all taste delicious to me. I think my son is becoming like me, though I try to make sure I assist him to brush his teeth after he munch some chocolates. Chocolates tatse great but they are not good for the teeth. What can I say? His mommy just have a sweet tooth. That is probably why my husband never forget to give me and my son some chocolates, although it does not matter if he does  or not but the he is just so thoughtful and always remember bringing something when he come home .  I just feel so loved and tickled everytime he does this and of course my son felt the same way.  I am still munching some of the chocolates he gave me . Whew! it is hard to lose weight with all these but it is hard to resist.

Medical Management Courses

I've met new Filipino friends during a party, we share lots of experiences as an immigrant worker here in States. This one particular couple specially interests me because they were both working in clinic as Physicians. For a while, I asked them how they met and how long they've been here in Washington State. I thought how awesome their story was. Our conversation went on and found out how they got here in the States and the wife mentioned the massive preparations for consultant interview they both have to go through. Imagine the education system in the Philippines and how they managed to land a job in the US as medical doctors. They said that taking consultant interview course was well worth all their effort and pay. The wife also mentioned taking the medical management courses which she said later on helped her so much to enhance leadership and communication skills. She said it is hard to talk to fellow physicians sometimes it is like teach the teacher. So having the right training and courses definitely helped them during the transition.
